# Country Name (ISO3166 standard)

## List of ISO 3166 country codes <a href="#firstheading" id="firstheading"></a>

OkayID follows the [ISO 3166 standard](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_3166_country_codes) – Codes for the representation of names of countries and their subdivisions.&#x20;

### **ISO 3166 standard (Country Name)**

The MRZ fieldVisual and the DocumentType result is returning the country name that follows the ISO 3166 Standards.

### **ISO 3166 standard (Country Code Alpha-3 Code)**

As for the Country Code that we use in OkayID, we are following the **ISO 3166-1 Alpha-3 Code** to represent each of the countries.&#x20;
